The Oscar and BAFTA-nominated screenwriter Nick Hornby (An Education, Wild, Brooklyn) today spent some time answering questions about screenwriting, his career, and the production process with our Screenwriting and Practical Filmmaking students.

Topics addressed included his approach to adaptation, the way he chooses projects, and whether writers would truly be happy just writing for themselves and not for an audience.

Nick also very kindly donated early draft copies of the screenplay to An Education (working title "University of Life"!) to the Central Film School library.

Huge thanks to Nick for his time and generosity, Lucy for her assistance, and the marvellous folks at Close-Up Film Centre for hosting us!
