BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking

This BA Honours degree course has been designed to respond to the demand for BA programmes that prepare graduates for employment by providing you with the skillsets required by employers in the screen industries.  Our primary focus is on professional practice and preparation for employment.

The undergraduate course offers a far higher amount of practical teaching than standard degree courses in filmmaking.  Students learn to work collaboratively towards professional standards through the course model that sees lecture, seminar and workshop training followed by the practical application of learning on set.

In the final phase of the course students demonstrate the culmination of their learning through major graduation film projects that then receive a Gala Screening in Central London at the Curzon, Bloomsbury.

BA (Hons) Screenwriting

Our Screenwriting BA Honours degree is a unique fast-track writing programme that provides the opportunity to learn the art and craft of screenwriting at an accelerated pace.

During this two-year undergraduate degree students receive expert teaching from working industry screenwriters and also see work which they have written being rehearsed, shot and performed by professional actors.

After developing your screenwriting skills by working on exercises, scenes and short films, you'll then go on to focus on writing feature films for which you receive professional script development support before pitching at exclusive meetings with UK literary agents.
