I studied Industrial Management (BSc) at the University of Piraeus in Greece, Fiction Film Production (MA) at the Northern Film School of Leeds Beckett University, and for my doctorate (PhD) in Cognitive Narrative Theory & Narratology (Screenwriting) at the University of Birmingham, where I was a visiting lecturer at postgraduate level. I have published articles on cognitive narratology and narrative theory in academic journals, while my monograph "Screenplay and Narrative Theory: The Screenplectics Model of Complex Narrative Systems" investigates the cognitive thought processes and the fundamental underlying mechanics and dynamics of narrative, will be published by Lexington Books USA in September 2015. Since 2002, I have been involved in the production of TV commercials, TV dramas and feature films in various production roles and have produced/executive produced TV commercials and short films. Since 2005, I have written eleven feature-length screenplays, many of which have won commendations in international screenwriting competitions including the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting run by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). I am currently in post-production of Autonomous, an action/sci-fi/thriller short film I wrote, produced and directed, which will be released in festivals in September 2015. In late 2014, I was invited to join the Greek Screenwriters Guild (GSG). Since 2011, I have been represented as a screenwriter by Jake Friedman at Scenario, a management and production agency based in Los Angeles, California.
