Filmmaking
At Central Film School, our filmmaking programmes are immersive, practical, and hands-on from day one. We foster a collaborative environment where students gain experience across all departments before specialising in their chosen field - whether it's directing, cinematography, producing, sound, or editing.
Our two- and three-year BA Practical Filmmaking programmes immerse you in every aspect of the filmmaking process, combining hands-on training with industry-focused projects, experimental showreels, and collaborative productions before you specialise in your final year.
Our one-year MA Filmmaking programme builds on this foundation, developing your technical proficiency while focusing on a specialised area, and includes an industry placement where you can put your skills into practice in real-world settings.
Whether you’re beginning your journey in filmmaking or advancing your craft through postgraduate study, our programmes prepare you for both aesthetic and technical roles. You’ll graduate ready to make your mark in the industry and shape, or even redefine, the direction of your career.
