With over 20 years dedicated to showing feature documentaries on the big screen and celebrating the form with a rich trove of online resources for emerging doc-makers and fans alike, Bertha DocHouse is truly the home of documentary. CFS is proud to hold the rights to the Bertha DocHouse Archive.
The Mandy Network
Mandy is the number one job platform for cast, crew and creative professionals. Not only will you be able to search and apply for jobs on this service, Mandy allows for the free posting of adverts for your own productions.
Our students often utilise this platform to find actors or more crew members, however, we encourage you to make yourself available to your colleagues and peers and collaborate with each other on your productions. At CFS, we have students studying Filmmaking, Screenwriting, and Acting, so we invite you to approach people within our academic community.
OV Connect (The Old Vic Theatre)
The Old Vic is one of the top theatres on London’s West End, always offering an impressive line-up of both new and classic plays. OV Connect is their networking arm, helping keen theatre-makers and theatre-goers stay connected with one another.
OV Connect organise and run various workshops at Central Film School. In the past topics covered have included improvisation skills, how to fundraise in the arts, and protecting the wellbeing of creative artists. These events are a great way to acquire new skills and make connections with independent creatives outside of your course who are working across the film industry and the arts.
pointblank Music School
Our friends, pointblank Music School, are a hotbed of talent for those who specialise in the fields of music, sound design and visual arts. Throughout the year, there will be numerous opportunities for you to work with other young creatives in London, many of whom can end up working on projects together.
We have run several different types of events in the past with them, including casual networking and more serious pitching sessions. Students are encouraged to stay in touch with each other after this and work on their personal projects (both assessed and non-assessed). You’ll be amazed by the undiscovered talent that’s waiting to work with you.
