Academic Misconduct
Is any action that gives or attempts to give a student an unfair advantage in assessments or undermines academic integrity.
The School treats all allegations seriously and investigates them under the Academic Misconduct Procedure. Proven cases may result in penalties, and serious offences can remain on the students record and be disclosed during the reference or accreditation process. Unintentional misconduct is still subject to investigation and penalties.
You should ensure that you understand and familiarise yourself with the terms that are used to describe different forms of academic misconduct. These include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Plagiarism
- Collusion
- Commissioning (by contract cheating)
- Commisioning (by use of AI)
- Duplication
- Misrepresention
