Code of Conduct
The Central Film School Code of Conduct aims to create a safe, inclusive, respectful, and professional learning environment for students and staff.
This Code covers the following topics:
Respect and Professionalism. All members of the School community must:
- Treat others with dignity, respect and professionalism.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Behave responsibly both on campus and online.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The School is committed to:
- Promoting equality and diversity.
- Preventing discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation.
- Maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour.
Academic and Creative Integrity. Students and staff must:
- Act honestly in all academic and professional activities.
- Produce original work and acknowledge sources correctly.
- Follow ethical standards in research and filmmaking projects.
- Obtain appropriate consent and approvals when working with participants or sensitive subjects.
Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom. The School supports:
- Open discussion and academic debate.
- Freedom of expression within legal and ethical boundaries.
- Respectful engagement with differing viewpoints.
Privacy and Confidentiality. All members of the community must:
- Respect the privacy of others.
- Protect confidential information.
- Comply with data protection requirements.
