How to Find Us: Directions and Public Transport
Everything you need to know about finding Avondale Hall and planning your journey.
Welcome to Central Film School. Whether you are arriving for your first day of class, heading in for a film shoot, or visiting us for an event, getting to our campus is straightforward.
We are located in a vibrant, creative community in South West London, nestled perfectly between Clapham and Brixton. Below you will find all the practical information you need to plan your journey.

Travelling by Underground & Rail
The easiest way to reach the campus is via London’s rail networks. We are a short walk from several major stations:
- Clapham North (Northern Line): This is our closest Underground station, just a 5-minute walk from the campus. Exit the station, head down Landor Road, and you will find us on the right.
- Clapham High Street (London Overground): Approximately a 6-minute walk from campus, offering easy connections across East and South London.
- Brixton Station (Victoria Line & National Rail): Located about a 15-minute walk (or a short bus ride) from the school. This is an ideal hub if you are travelling via the Victoria line or southeastern rail routes.
- Stockwell Station (Northern and Victoria Lines): Also roughly a 15-minute walk from campus.
Travelling by Bus
Several bus routes serve the immediate area, making it highly accessible from all corners of London.
- Routes 88, 155, 345, and N155 stop nearby on Clapham High Street / Clapham North Station.
- Route 322 runs directly along Landor Road, stopping very close to the campus gates.
We recommend using the Transport for London (TfL) Journey Planner or apps like Citymapper to check live timetables and service disruptions before you travel.
Cycling to Campus
We strongly encourage sustainable travel. If you prefer to cycle:
- There are public bicycle racks located near the campus and surrounding streets.
- Please note: Bicycles and personal e-scooters are not permitted inside the building for health and safety reasons.
Driving and Equipment Drop-Offs
Because we are located in central London, we highly discourage driving to campus as traffic can be heavy and we do not have dedicated student parking.
- Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ): The campus sits within the London ULEZ zone. Please check your vehicle’s compliance and fee requirements before driving.
- Loading and Drop-offs: For equipment drop-offs, please coordinate directly with the Facilities Team and Resources Team in advance.
Accessibility
Avondale Hall features step-free access across key areas of our 15,500 sq ft campus. If you have specific mobility requirements or need assistance navigating our studios and editing spaces upon arrival, please contact our Facilities Team ahead of your visit so we can ensure your arrival is as smooth as possible.
