Student Engagement Policy & Attendance Procedure
This policy aims to reflect the nature of the industry and foster the neccesary professional practice to help ensure future success and filmmakers and screenwriters.
The objective of our attendance policy is to ensure that, when students are employed in the industry, professionalism is their key attribute.
This policy covers:
- How attendance is recorded and monitored
- Who to contact if you are going to be absent
- Important information for those on Student Route VISAs
- Poor attendance is often linked to poor attainment and can disrupt valuable group work
- Many assessments require students to be in attendance
- Attendance below 80% can result in withdrawal of certain privileges, such as access to kit for extracurricular projects
