Based in the South West London district of Clapham. Our campus couldn't be more perfectly situated for our students' needs.
Clapham is home to a varied community of creative artists, events, and brands. Making it the perfect base for an active film school community. Additionally, the local tube and overground stations are a 5 minute walk away, making travel to the rest of London incredibly convenient.
The Central Film School campus is very well-connected to the wider London area. Many key attractions can be reached in under half an hour through London's world-leading transport network.
As a student, you are also able to receive discounts on certain journeys when you apply for an 18+ Student Oyster photocard.

Exploring Clapham
Clapham is a popular suburb, home to some incredibly sought-after hospitality venues and creative events. The area is famous for its quality dining and boutique coffee shops, as well as popular pubs, bars, and clubs to keep you entertained for hours.
Just a short walk away, you can also enjoy the famous Clapham Common Park. In the warmer months, you'll see it come alive with activity as Londoners take some time to relax in nature.

Exploring London
Once you have settled into your studies, you'll have the opportunity to dive into everything London has to offer. From the artsy streets of Hackney to the superb dining of Soho, you will find yourself lost in the city in the best way possible.
What's more, there are plenty of free activities, such as museums and exhibitions dotted throughout the city to keep your weekends filled with excitement.
The Screen Industry in London
Our London campus is excellently located to give you the best start to your screen industry career. There are many huge names nearby, such as both the world-renowned Pinewood Studios (James Bond, Star Wars) and Warner Bros Studios Leavesden (Harry Potter, Barbie, The Batman), among many more.
London is also home to one of the largest filmmaking communities in the world, with a variety of events such as the BFI London Film Festival and the Raindance Film Festival taking place all throughout the year. These events provide our students with plenty of opportunities to network within the industry, helping them secure employment after graduation.
On top of this, the city is home to hundreds of cinemas catering to different tastes. From large blockbuster chains such as Odeon, to quirky independent venues like Rooftop Film Club in Peckham.



Community Building
Besides the amazing friends and communities you will build at CFS, there are many opportunities to explore diverse communities outside of campus. London offers thousands of clubs and societies ranging from sports, art, culture, education, and social groups to name a few. However, we recommend that you properly research a club or society before joining.
Another benefit of immersing yourself in London's complex and exciting culture is the enrichment it brings to your work. Many of our students have created excellent work, inspired by their lived experience in London.
So dive into everything the city has to offer and see your films become that much better for it.
