Screenwriting

At Central Film School, our screenwriting programmes are practical, collaborative, and industry-focused. We encourage a cross-cohort environment where writers work closely with students from other courses, to bring scripts to life.

Our two- and three-year BA (Hons) Screenwriting programmes take you from crafting step outlines to writing for film, television, and interactive media. You’ll gain industry-facing experience by pitching for graduate films and learn how to navigate the business side of screenwriting.

Our two-year MA Screenwriting programme offers a flexible, part-time online learning experience, allowing you to study from anywhere while building industry-ready skills. You’ll advance your professional writing techniques, explore adaptation, and master industry standards across multiple platforms.

Whether you’re discovering your voice or honing your skills, our programmes prepare you to write, pitch, and build valuable industry connections - ensuring you graduate ready to make a lasting impact in the screen industries.
